Uniquely designed meteorite dial

My story with Ball Watch began years ago when I stumbled upon a promotional event on the street. A massive model train was on display, drawing me in—only to discover it was part of Ball's marketing campaign. That moment left a deep impression of the brand's railroad DNA. Yet, it took me this long to finally own my very first Ball timepiece.

I’ve been following Ball’s updates across various platforms, and one recent release truly caught my eye—a meteorite dial paired with rainbow-colored gas tubes. Instantly intrigued, I dug deeper into the story behind this watch. The brand’s official description of the meteorite dial was impressively detailed.

This watch features a dial crafted from perhaps the world’s most famous meteorite—Gibeon meteorite. Due to its unique composition, the intricate crystalline patterns, known as Widmanstätten patterns, are formed naturally over millions of years as the iron-nickel alloy within the meteorite slowly cools. These patterns cannot be replicated on Earth, making each dial truly one-of-a-kind.

This official product shot completely captivated me. The gray-toned meteorite dial exudes subtle sophistication with a playful edge. The fact that it’s made from natural meteorite only adds to its mystique.

When placing my order, I had a small request—I wanted to pick a dial with a pattern I loved. To my surprise, customer service happily obliged. After comparing different dial textures, I chose one with straighter, more defined lines. The official images and videos made the texture appear refined, but I suspected some filter trickery. Regardless, I decided to take the plunge and see it in person first.

The packaging is still very reliable and stable. The green watch box of Boer looks very high-quality

Without any filters, the moment I saw the real object, I felt it was completely beyond my aesthetic standards

The thrilling moment of tearing off the film: the dial, the strap, the back cover, and every part that can be touched by hand are all tightly wrapped with transparent film

To be honest, the moment I held it in my hand, I felt that this wristwatch was right at my excitement point. Moreover, the actual object feels more "aesthetically pleasing" and "shocking" than the official pictures. The huge difference between the pictures and the actual object still makes people's emotions run high. The picture might only show one-third of the beauty of the actual object.
